Work to Begin – Buttermore Road East Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County
Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that construction work is ready to start on the bridge that carries Buttermore Road over Buffalo Run in East Huntingdon, Westmoreland County. This section of Buttermore Road is between Route 31 (Mount Pleasant Road) and Stoner Road. Currently, utility relocation work and tree removal are occurring in the area.
Starting on April 1, Buttermore Road will be detoured using Route 31 and Route 981. The project is scheduled to complete in late August.
This project consists of the replacement of the structure carrying Route 3073 (Buttermore Road) over Buffalo Run. Two hundred feet of roadway will be reconstructed and 100 feet milling, and resurfacing will occur on each side of the structure. Approximately 100 feet of Buffalo Run will be relocated upstream and 50 feet downstream. Guide rail and signing will be updated. The tentative completion on this project is late August 2019. The contractor on this $644,748 project is C.H. & D. Enterprises, Inc.
