In what is already the wettest year on record in much of Pennsylvania and in recognition of National Preparedness Month, Wolf Administration officials from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), and the state Insurance Department today discussed how the state is analyzing and preparing for extreme weather, and also offered tips and resources for Pennsylvanians.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing the Perrysville Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-279 (Parkway North) in Ross Township, Allegheny County has reopened to traffic.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing overnight closures in the outbound (westbound) Fort Pitt Tunnel in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Wednesday and Thursday night, September 19-20.

Bridge Repair is scheduled on State Route 2002 (Kirby Road). Base Repair is scheduled on State Route 1009 and State Route 1050. Pipe Replacement is scheduled on State Route 3007 (Ruble Mill Road). Shoulder Repairs/Rock Lining is scheduled on State Route 1045 (Nellie Road), State Route 1031 (Broadford Road) and State Route 1002 (Banning Road). Shoulder Repair is scheduled on State Route 1020 (Gallatin Ave), State Route 1051 (Bute Road), State Route 3010 (Masontown-Smithfield Road) and State Route 40 (Summit Mountain). Signs will be updated, downed signs will be reset on various routes, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes County Wide.

Area drivers may encounter delays late this week and through next week as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) continues with work to improve a Route 64 bridge in Centre County. The bridge spans Little Fishing Creek near the village of Lamar and the Centre/Clinton county line.
