Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary Leslie S. Richards today announced that three teams will be invited to submit proposals for a program to preserve 140 acres of PennDOT-owned land in Chalfont, Bucks County through a Public-Private Partnership (P3). The land will be transformed into a mitigation site capable of providing on-demand mitigation credits for PennDOT and private-development projects.

Spring road maintenance season will be under way soon and PennDOT’s Venango County maintenance office has announced that waste fill dirt will be available as crews tackle activities such as ditching, shoulder cutting, pipe replacement, and other operations.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing improvement work in various locations on the I-279 Parkway North Improvement Project in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin Tuesday, March 26 weather permitting.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that a section of Route 3013 (Oak Forest Road) will be closed between Woods Road and Hoy Hill Road in Center Township, Greene County. Work begins on Monday, April 8 with a tentative completion date of June 14.
