Paving work on the Route 45 (Penns Valley Road) bridge in Centre County is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 23. The bridge spans Pine Creek in Haines Township, near the village of Woodward.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced a change in the traffic pattern for its Cable Median Barrier installation project along more than 13 miles of roadway in Centre, Clinton, Mifflin, and Juniata counties. The project will enhance safety for motorists and reduce the potential for head-on collisions on high-volume traffic routes.

Motorists traveling through Union Township, Mifflin County, will be reminded to obey the posted speed limit. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the placement of two radar-controlled speed display signs on Route 655. The signs will aid in curbing speeding, a common type of aggressive driving.
