PennDOT District 12 would like to inform motorists of the closure of a section of Route 3047 (Turner Valley Road/Guffey Road) in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County. The closure will be located between Guffey Road (Route 3049) and Mars Hill Road (Route 3045). The closure will begin on Wednesday, October 14 at 7 am and will continue until Wednesday November 13 at 3:30 pm.
The closure will be in place to allow crews to perform slide repairs. Motorists should drive with caution when entering work zones and be prepared for changing conditions.
A marked detour will be in place using Guffey Road (Route 3049), Clay Pike County Road and Mars Hill Road (Route 3045).
Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
