Central Scranton Expressway to Close Tomorrow

 From Wednesday evening at 8 PM until Monday morning at 6 AM, the Central Scranton Expressway will be closed in both directions between Interstate 81 and SR 11 (Pittston Avenue) in the City of Scranton.  Crews will begin the removal of the old Harrison Avenue Bridge directly over the expressway, and for safety reason, the expressway will be closed.  The new Harrison Avenue Bridge will remain open during this time.  The posted detour for vehicles will be River Street (northbound) or Moosic Street (southbound).  Trucks will utilize Davis Street.  Read More
