Central Scranton Expressway to Close for 15 Minutes Today, Throughout the Day Tomorrow


At 2 PM today, the Central Scranton Expressway will be closed for 10-15 minutes in both directions while a crew goes under the bridge in a bucket truck to test the paint on the new Harrison Avenue Bridge.Read More

Construction to Begin on Canal Street (Route 267) Bridge in Meshoppen Borough


Construction for the Canal Street (Route 267) bridge, spanning Little Meshoppen Creek in Meshoppen Borough, Wyoming County, is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Wyoming County’s structurally deficient bridge list. Read More

Scott Center Road (Route 4037) Bridge in Scott Township Open to Traffic


The Scott Center Road (Route 4037) bridge, which spans Sherman Creek in Scott Township, Wayne County, reopened to traffic today. This bridge was replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project and allows PennDOT to remove it from the state's structurally deficient bridge list.  Read More

Emergency Bridge Deck Repairs on I-81 Between Exits 165 A and 165 B


Today starting at 9 A.M. there will be work on an emergency bridge deck repair on Interstate 81. The work will take place on I-81 north between Exit 165 A (Mountain Top) and 165 B (Wilkes-Barre), on the bridge over 6309. The work will be finished this evening.
