PennDOT’s Engineering District 12 is responsible for the state-maintained transportation network in this regionThis includes 3,627 total road miles and 2,339 total bridges.

Uniontown, PA – Construction for the Route 31 bridge, spanning Jacobs Creek in Bullskin and Mount Pleasant Townships, Westmoreland and Fayette Counties, is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The Zediker Station Road (Route 1049) bridge, which spans a Branch of Little Chartiers Creek in South Strabane Township, Washington County, that’s been under construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, is complete and open to traffic.
