The community is invited to a public open house regarding the replacement of one Fayette County bridge included in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.The open house will be focused on important information including the construction schedule and traffic changes that are planned to take effect while the bridge is being replaced.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that there will be a detour in place on Route 19 in Waynesburg so that beams can be set for the River Bridge on January 11 and 12.On those days Route 19 will be closed at the bridge from 9:00pm to 5:00am.

Washington – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Adam Smith, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of January 9, 2017.All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis.Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that there will be a detour in place on Route 19 in Waynesburg so that beams can be set for the Railroad Bridge on December 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and the 30th.On those days Route 19 will be closed at the bridge from 9:00pm to 5:00am.

Highway maintenance crews from PennDOT District 12’s four maintenance offices in Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties will be working around the clock to keep the highways clear of snow and ice during winter storms.

The state’s Autonomous Vehicles Testing Policy Task Force has delivered recommended guidance to PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards for developing policies to oversee testing of highly automated vehicles (HAVs) and has scheduled an on-line public forum for Dec. 12 to review the report.

Based on PennDOT’s overall accomplishments this year, Secretary Leslie S. Richards was recently honored as Female Innovator of the Year for a Government or Non Profit with 2,500 employees or more and Female Executive of the Year in the same category by the international Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of changing traffic patterns with limited traffic stops on ramps connecting Route 119 and Route 40 to Route 21 (McCellandtown Road) between the west side of the Springdale Golf Course and the back east side of the Uniontown Mall.The work will begin Monday December 5 from 7 am to 7 pm.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of overnight single lane closures on Route 70 east between Fayette City (Exit 43) and Arnold City (Exit 44) in Westmoreland County.

The Cedar Grove Road (SR 4027) bridge in Cross Creek Township, Washington County, that’s been under construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is complete and open to traffic.Replacement of the bridge allows PennDOT to remove it from the state’s structurally deficient list.

The Rolling Meadows Road (SR 2026) bridge in Franklin Township, Greene County, that’s been under construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is complete and open to traffic.

The Daniels Run Road (SR 2015) bridge, which spans Daniels Run in West Bethlehem Township, is open to traffic.The bridge has been under construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.Replacement of the bridge allows PennDOT to remove it from the state’s structurally deficient bridge list.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that a complete closure on Route 4034 (Orr Avenue), between Route 4105 (Hancock Avenue) and Route 66 (Main Street) in Oklahoma Borough, Westmoreland County will be taking place.The detour will begin on Monday, November 14, with a tentative completion date of Wednesday, December 7, weather permitting.
