Route 885 Boulevard of the Allies Daylight Lane Restrictions Next Week in Pittsburgh


Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing short-term daylight lane restrictions of the Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Monday through Saturday, December 9-14 weather permitting.

Single-lane closures will occur as needed on the Boulevard of the Allies in both directions between the Liberty Bridge and the Birmingham Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Additionally, overnight work requiring single-lane restrictions will occur from Monday night at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Crews from Swank Construction Company, LLC will conduct substructure repair work, attenuator and delineator installation, and curb cuts.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 950 traffic cameras.
