Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is
announcing overhead sign replacement work on the northbound (upper deck) Fort
Duquesne Bridge (I-279) ramp to the North Shore in the City of Pittsburgh,
Allegheny County, will occur Thursday night, October 10 weather permitting.
replacement work will occur from 10 p.m. Thursday night through 5 a.m. Friday
morning on the upper deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge. To allow the work to
occur a single-lane restriction will occur on the bridge, and the ramp to the
North Shore (Exit 1B) will close to traffic.

From the Fort Duquesne Bridge,
take the ramp to 19/North 65 (Exit 1C) toward Ohio River Boulevard
Take the ramp to South 19/To 51
toward West End Bridge/Chateau Street/Western Avenue
Turn right onto Western Avenue
Turn right onto Allegheny
Follow Allegheny Avenue to
replacement work, requiring the closure of the Fort Duquesne Bridge, has been
postponed. Details will be provided when the work is rescheduled.
