CORRECTION: East Lancaster Road to Close for Five Months Starting November 1, 2019 to Repair Bridge Damage

Butler, PA–Beginning at 7 AM on November 1, 2019, a section of East Lancaster Road will close in Lancaster Township. The closure will start at Yellow Creek Road and end at State Route (SR) 19 as crews make necessary repairs to the Interstate 79 Northbound Bridge above the roadway. This section of East Lancaster Road will be closed until mid-April of 2020.

During this time, Contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College, will install a steel support structure on the Interstate 79 Northbound Bridge. To detour, motorists can take East Lancaster Road to State Route (SR) 19 South, then turn left onto SR 3025 (Little Creek Road) and then turn left to remain on SR 3025 (Yellow Creek Road), back to East Lancaster Road. Two detour maps (Map 1 and Map 2) are available online.
