The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area drivers that work to repair two bridges in Potter County will begin next week. Locations include: • Route 6 bridge over Lyman Run at Sweden Valley in Sweden Township. Route 3001 (East Fork Road) bridge over Birch Run in Wharton Township about 5 miles northeast of the village of Wharton.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be roadway sweeping in the Burnham/Reedsville area early next week. The work will be performed by Mifflin County PennDOT Maintenance and will take place from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Monday and Tuesday, April 12 and 13.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that road work will get underway next week on Route 322 east near Port Matilda. Starting Monday, April 12, a lane restriction will be in place on Route 322 eastbound from Sandy Ridge trail to Reese Hollow Road. The right, travel lane will be closed utilizing a long-term lane closure set up while the contractor places gabion basket retaining walls. This long-term lane closure is expected to last until late May.

The contract covers repair/rehabilitation work on four bridges—one in Mifflin County and three in Juniata County. Work on each of the bridges will improve their condition from poor to good.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that a bridge replacement project along Route 477 in Clinton County will start Monday, April 5. The project will replace a bridge spanning Fishing Creek in Loganton Borough, which will allow PennDOT to remove it from Clinton County’s list of bridges in poor condition.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is providing an update for its Local Interchange/Route 26 project in Centre County. The work zone is located along I-80 near the Bellefonte/161 interchange and work to build the local interchange can affect traffic flow on Interstate 80. During the week of March 29, traffic control will feature the following: • On Monday, there will be an eastbound, short-term, right lane closure with channelizers. • Tuesday through Easter weekend, there will be a double-lane shift to the right with channelizers. Traffic will be shifted to the right lane and outside shoulder. • Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a westbound, short-term left-lane closure with channelizers.

This project will improve ride quality, enhance safety and extend the useful life of nearly two miles of roadway in Granville Township and Lewistown Borough.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that Route 322 east of Boalsburg has fully reopened to traffic for eastbound and westbound lanes between Red Mill Road and Route 45.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that a crash has closed eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 322 east of Boalsburg between Red Mill Road and Route 45. Drivers will need to follow the orange detour, which makes use of Route 45 and Route 144.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that work to reconstruct the Woodland/Shawville Interchange on Interstate 80 at mile marker 123 is scheduled to resume Monday, March 22.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area drivers that work on its Route 144 bridge job near Snow Shoe will resume on Monday, March 22. When the project temporarily shut down in November, both lanes on the bridge were opened to traffic and the temporary traffic signals were removed. With work on the southbound side of the bridge set to start on Monday, the temporary signals will return and will be placed in flash mode on Tuesday, March 23. They will be fully operational on March 30 and will again enforce an alternating traffic pattern, with a 10-foot width restriction.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that work will resume next week on its Local Interchange/Route 26 project in Centre County. The work zone is located along I-80 near the Bellefonte/161 interchange and work to build the local interchange can affect traffic flow on Interstate 80. This year, motorists will use a crossover taking one lane of traffic from I-80 westbound to I-80 eastbound. The lane configuration through the work zone will be three lanes on eastbound and one remaining on westbound. To prepare for opening of the crossovers there will be some preliminary work taking place.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists to lane restrictions scheduled for this week on Route 322 east near Port Matilda. PennDOT expects the lane closures to be in place on Wednesday, March 17 and possibly Thursday, March 18 along Port Matilda Mountain between Sandy Ridge Road and Flat Rock.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that work on a Route 1004 (Woodland Road) betterment project is scheduled to resume Wednesday, March 17. Work on this project will be done in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which includes protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site and relevant training.
