Route 121 Poplar Street Improvement Work this Weekend in Green Tree Borough


Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing improvement work on Poplar Street (Route 121) in Green Tree Borough, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night through Monday night, October 26-29 weather permitting.

Roadway reconstruction, milling and paving operations, base repairs, drainage improvements, line painting, and other miscellaneous construction activities will occur from Friday night at 8 p.m. to Monday night at 6 p.m. on Poplar Street between Mansfield Avenue (Route 3062) and Noblestown Road (Route 50). To allow the work to occur, Poplar Street will close to thru-traffic and motorists will be detoured.  Local traffic and access to businesses will be permitted.

South of the closure

  • From the intersection of Poplar Street and Mansfield Avenue, take Mansfield Avenue west to Noblestown Road (Route 50)

  • Turn right onto Noblestown Road and follow back to Poplar Street

  • End detour

North of the closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

Crews from A. Folino Construction, Inc. will conduct the work.
