The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Erie County, and the City of Erie announce updated hours and parking information for the public meeting on the proposed improvements to the Bayfront Parkway Central Corridor (Route 4034).
The Central Corridor of the Bayfront Parkway consists of the intersections with Sassafras Street Extension, State Street, and Holland Street.
The meeting will be held to update the public on plans for possible improvements along the corridor. The event will include two opportunities to see a formal presentation, as well as an open house plans display and question and answer session. Representatives from PennDOT and ms consultants will be on hand to gather feedback and answer questions.

Free parking will be available at the Erie Parking Authority Garage Q located at 712 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501. Attendees may obtain free parking vouchers at the meeting.
Following the meeting, the information presented on the project and the leading alternatives will be posted online at www.penndot/gov/District1 and www.BayfrontParkwayProject.com, as well as in the Bayfront Parkway Project Facebook group.
The plans display is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project’s potential effect upon Cultural Resources pursuant to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
The display is being held in a facility that complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is accessible to individuals who have disabilities. Also, the project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats if requested.
