Oil City, PA – Work is schedule to begin later this month to replace a box culvert on that carries Route 226 over an Ashtabula Creek tributary in Conneaut Township, Erie County.
Employees of PennDOT’s Erie County maintenance unit and Shingledecker’s Welding, Inc., of Franklin, PA will perform the work, which is scheduled to begin the week of June 26, 2017.
During the work, Route 226 will be closed to through traffic near the Pennsylvania-Ohio border. A detour will be posted using Tracy Road, Griffey Road, and West Cherry Hill Road in Conneaut Township, and Furnace Road and Route 86 in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
The work is expected to be completed by early August 2017.
