The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists that temporary flagging, followed by temporary automatic flagging devices, will be in place soon on a section of Route 1001 in Potter County.

Construction for a Route 44 (Pine Hill Road) bridge spanning Little Kettle Creek near the village of Carter Camp in Abbott Township, Potter County, is scheduled to begin soon as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Potter County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists that tree trimming is scheduled for North Atherton Street on Wednesday, February 21 and possibly Thursday, February 22. Drivers should anticipate short travel delays as crews work between Woodland Drive and West Mitchell Avenue.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting drivers that snowfall and mixed precipitation are in the forecast for areas of northcentral Pennsylvania through Wednesday. Significant snow accumulation is expected in northern counties, while counties in the center of the region can anticipate snow and possible sleet. While accumulation is expected to be light in southern counties, sleet and freezing rain could also occur and could bring slippery and challenging conditions.

Construction for a West Branch Road (Route 2002) bridge spanning Lyman Run in West Branch Township, Potter County, is scheduled to begin soon as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge is located about two miles southwest of the village of Germania Station. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Potter County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

At the request of Gregg Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area drivers to the closure of a local bridge in Centre County. The 23-foot bridge spans Muddy Creek on Lower Georges Valley Road (T-419) in Gregg Township. It carries an average of 100 vehicles daily.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that the rest areas closure at mile-marker 144 on I-80 near Snow Shoe in Centre County is now a complete closure. Vehicles are no longer permitted to enter the parking lot area until the closure is lifted.
