The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reopened a bridge near Philipsburg today. The bridge is located on Route 2020 (Presqueisle Street), near Philipsburg. The bridge spans Moshannon Creek in the borough of Chester Hill near the Clearfield/Centre County line.

With work underway to improve more than 41 miles of roadway in Centre and Clinton counties The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is issuing an update on its project schedule. Work to be completed includes milling, base repair, resurfacing, curbing, sidewalks, and guide rail updates on sections of seven routes in Centre County and five routes in Clinton County.

A crew from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will perform pipe replacement work next week in Benner Township that will include a one-day closure along Valleyview Road (Route 3008). On Monday, May 21, Valleyview Road will be closed from Armagast Road to Purdue Mountain Road. A detour using Armagast Road, Fillmore Road, and North Fillmore Road will be in place.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that the Rockview Driver License Center at 812 West College Avenue in Pleasant Gap will reopen on Monday, May 14 at 8:30 a.m. for photo services, and on Tuesday, May 15 at 8:30 a.m. for driver licensing services. The center was closed on April 23 for renovations.

​Bridge work that’s part of a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT improvement job on Route 44 in Potter County, will bring traffic pattern changes starting May 16. The overall project will improve ride quality across 9 miles of roadway, extend the life of the roadway surface from Shinglehouse Borough to Coneville, and bring repairs to three bridges.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary Leslie S. Richards today recognized 29 PennDOT employees for their outstanding performance with the Star of Excellence Award, PennDOT’s highest recognition. Two employees from PennDOT’s District 2, which represents (Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin, and Potter counties, were among the honorees.

Construction for a South Eagle Valley Road (Route 3040) bridge in Centre County, is scheduled to begin soon as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge spans Dewitt Run in the Borough of Unionville. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Centre County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that road repairs will take place soon on a westbound section of I-80 in Clearfield County. The work zone will stretch from mile-marker 118 to mile-marker 116, west of Clearfield.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) is alerting motorists to some traffic changes coming soon on its Route 6 improvement project in Kane. Overall work includes roadway restoration, drainage improvements, signal upgrades, water line relocation, pavement markings, and miscellaneous construction. This work will extend the useful life of the roadway and improve overall ride quality.

With construction and utility work continuing, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is issuing an update for its North Atherton Street project in State College. The entire project will take place through 2019, with phased work zones stretching from Aaron Drive to Park Avenue. Work will include relocation of numerous utility lines, relocation of sewer and water lines, drainage improvements, curbing, sidewalks, ADA ramps, traffic signal upgrades, new concrete median, and paving.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that work will begin next week to improve more than 22 miles of roadway in Juniata and Mifflin counties. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 7, and will improve roadway ride quality for motorists and extend the life of the roadway surface.
