The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that prime contractor New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co, Inc. of New Enterprise, will work on a project that will upgrade 5.4 miles of roadway in Colerain and Snake Spring townships, Bedford County.
On Wednesday, the contractor will begin saw cutting the roadway for pipe placement, this work will take place over approximately two weeks. Once complete they will move to milling and paving operations.
Overall work on this project consists of milling and resurfacing, drainage, guiderail, signing and traffic signal upgrades. This work is on Route 326 (Egolf Road) from Main Road to Route 30.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
All work on this $1.4 million project is expected to be completed by November 2019.
