PECO to Restrict U.S. 1 (City Avenue) Weeknights for Utility Installation in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning a single lane closure on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) weeknights between Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) and Monument Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County and Philadelphia, on Tuesday, May 26, through Monday, June 15, from 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM, for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. For a list of all utility work and other construction projects impacting state-owned highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, visit our District 6 Traffic Bulletin.
