King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia next week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, November 11 and Tuesday, November 12, on southbound on southbound I-95 between Enterprise Avenue and Route 291/Philadelphia International Airport interchanges; and
- Wednesday, November 13, through Friday, November 15, on northbound I-95 between Route 291 and Broad Street interchanges.
In addition to the bridge inspections next week, survey operations are also scheduled on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14, requiring a right lane closure on northbound I-95 between the Bridge Street and Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
