Montoursville, PA – Motorists who travel Route 11/15 southbound are advised of a lane closure at the intersection where the two roads merge in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County, for a soil remediation project due to a previous vehicle crash in the area.
On Thursday, April 15, between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM, the contractor will be performing soil remediation along Route 11/15 southbound near the old K-Mart, now the W&L Nissan dealership. Motorists can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted on Routes 11 and 15 prior to the merger, leading up to the work location.
Motorists should expect major delays in travel and are urged to slow down, drive with caution, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
