01/21/2020 Update: Clean-Up Project on I-80 WB to Start This Week in Union County

01/21/2020 UPDATE: The contractor will continue soil remediation work on Interstate 80 westbound in White Deer Township, Union County.  The work will take place in the area of mile marker 202.5 on Tuesday, January 21 through Friday, January 24, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  Motorists should expect alternating lane closures in this area as the work is being completed.

01/16/2020 UPDATE: The contractor will suspend soil remediation work from Friday, January 17 through Monday, January 20.  Work is expected to resume on Tuesday, January 21, weather permitting.

01/15/2020 UPDATE:  The contractor will continue soil remediation on Interstate 80 westbound in White Deer Township, Union County.  The work will take place in the area of mile marker 202.5 on Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16, between the hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Motorists should expect the left lane (passing lane) to be restricted while the work is being completed.

Montoursville, PA – Motorists who travel on Interstate 80 westbound in White Deer Township, Union County, are advised of lane restrictions due to a soil remediation project that will take place this week. 

A contractor will be working in the area of mile marker 202.5 beginning on Tuesday, January 14, with the project spanning several days.  The work will take place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions while the work is being completed.

Motorists are urged to slow down, drive with caution, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
