Montoursville, PA – PennDOT announced today the long-term closure of a section of Route 2039 (Warrenville Road) in Lycoming County due to safety concerns related to an embankment failure. Warrensville Road will be closed from just south of Mosteller Road in Eldred Township to Lick Run Road in Loyalsock Township beginning Monday, August 19. The road will remain closed until further notice.
The department is collecting on-site information, so repair options can be developed. Once repair options are developed, cost estimates will be prepared, and the department can determine when funds will be available to complete repair work.
A detour will be in place during the closure using Route 2014 (Broad Street), Route 2075 (Montour Street), Route 87, and Route 973.
