PennDOT’s Washington County Maintenance Update
Week of March 9, 2020


Washington – Washington County Acting Maintenance Manager, J. Scott Finch, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of March 9, 2020.  All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis.  Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

Work on washouts is planned for SR 136 (Segment 180 to 310) – Main Street. Slide repair is scheduled for SR 231 (Segment 50) – East Finley Drive.

Pipe flushing is scheduled for SR 88 (Segment 51 to 60) – Front Street.

Cleaning of drains is planned for SR 231 (Segment 10 to 60) and Segment 240 to 250) – East Finley Drive.  Cleaning of pipes and culverts is scheduled for SR 4004 (Segment 90 to 100) – Pennsylvania Avenue; SR 4005 (Segment 10 to 90) – Hanlin Station Road; and SR 4014 (Segment 10 to 120) – State Line Road. 

Shoulder stabilizing work is scheduled for SR 917 (Segment 140 and 230) – Pittsburgh Road.

Patching is scheduled for SR 40 (Station 660 to 840) – Main Street and National Pike and SR 88 (Segment 10 to 290) – Front Street and Low Hill Road.  Spray patching is planned for SR 3025.
