PennDOT’s Washington County Maintenance Update Week of January 14, 2019
Washington – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Adam Smith, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of January 14, 2019. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Crack sealing is planned for SR 4004 (Segment 180 to 210 (Steubenville Pike); and SR 4007 (Segment 10 to 70 (Bavington Road). Side dozing is scheduled for SR 2048 (Segment 30) – Old National Pike; and SR 2023 (Segment 150) – Bentleyville Road.
Rock lining is planned for SR 2023 (Segment 150)- Bentleyville Road; SR 4002 (Segment 120) – Bigger Road; SR 40 (Segment 180) – Chestnut Street; SR 2038 (Segment 80) – South California Drive and SR 2075 (Segment 10) – Highland Drive. Washout work is planned for I-70.
Patching work is scheduled for SR 22 (Segment 10 to 250) – William Penn Highway.
Cleaning of drains, pipes, and ditches is scheduled for SR 231 (Segments 10 to 60) (East Finley Drive); SR 331 (Segment 10 to 72) – Brush Run Road) and clean of inlet along I-70 (Segment 141-145).
PENNDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern. This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
