Route 19 Banksville Road Turning Lane Closure Begins Saturday in Pittsburgh


Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of the turning lane from Banksville Road (Route 19) to Caranhan Road in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin Saturday, December 7 weather permitting.

The northbound left-hand turn lane from Banksville Road to Carnahan Road will close to traffic for the first phase of the City of Pittsburgh’s Wenzell Avenue improvement project. Crews from Allison Park Contractors will begin bridge replacement work at the intersection of Carnahan Road and Banksville Avenue. Motorists will be detoured via Banksville Road, Potomac Avenue, and Greentree Road.
