Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is
advising motorists that Babcock Boulevard (Route 4009) in Ross Township,
Allegheny County, will be reduced to a single lane controlled by a temporary
traffic signal at the intersection with Peoples Road beginning Tuesday, June 25,
Crews will continue
culvert replacement work at the intersection of Peoples Road and Babcock
Boulevard with the construction phase change beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Crews will transition the westbound section of Babcock Boulevard approaching
the intersection to a single-lane lane carrying bi-directional traffic. Peoples
Road approaching the intersection will return to a single-lane in each
direction. The spur ramp from Peoples Road to Babcock Boulevard will remain
closed. All movements will be permitted at the intersection.
Flaggers will assist
motorists through the intersection on Tuesday while temporary traffic signals
are implemented. The configuration will remain in place through the end of
