Route 4009 Peoples Road Utility Relocation begins Monday in Ross Township

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that utility relocation work on Peoples Road (Route 4009) at the intersection with Babcock Boulevard in Ross Township, Allegheny County, will begin on Monday, April 8 weather permitting.

Short-term lane restrictions, controlled by flaggers, will occur as needed beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning to allow utility relocation work at the intersection of Peoples Road and Babcock Boulevard. Culvert replacement work is anticipated to begin on Friday, April 19. Additional information will be provided prior to that work beginning.

The work is necessary to address a culvert issue that impacted the roadway during a storm on July 4.  The current truck detour will remain in place during this work.
