Route 3109 University Boulevard Improvements begin Monday in Moon Township


Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT is announcing work to improve Route 3109 (University Boulevard) in Moon Township, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, August 13 weather permitting.

Overnight single-lane restrictions will occur on University Boulevard in each direction between Business Loop 376 and Route 51 (Stoops Ferry Road) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday nights through late November.  Additionally, weekday work will occur as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Business Loop 376 and Moon Clinton Road and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Brodhead Road and Stoops Ferry Road. Crews from A. Folino Construction, Inc. will conduct milling and paving operations, base repairs, drainage improvements, guiderail upgrades, slide repair, concrete patching, and other miscellaneous construction activities.

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Flaggers and police officers will control traffic at signalized intersections. Please slow down and drive safely through the work zone. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
