Public Open House Announcement – Upcoming Design Plans for State Route 228 Mars Railroad Bridge West Expansion Project
BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will conduct a public open house at the Adams Township Municipal Building on May 30, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. to display upcoming design plans for the State Route (SR) 228 Mars Railroad Bridge West Expansion Project in Cranberry Township, Seven Fields Borough, and Adams Township in Butler County. PennDOT officials and project team members will answer any questions and address any concerns from the public.
The SR 228 Mars Railroad Bridge West Expansion Project, a widening and safety improvement project over 3.25 miles, extends just west of the Franklin Road intersection to approximately 0.50 miles east of the Beaver Street Extension intersection. The project will widen existing SR 228 from two lanes (one in each direction) to four lanes (two in each direction).
The meeting, held at the Adams Township Municipal Building, is located at 690 Valencia Road, Mars, Pa., 16046 and is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
