The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to view a display of plans for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Route 62 and State Street (SR 3008) in the City of Hermitage, Mercer County.

The work on the roundabout is currently expected to begin in April 2019.

The project will require some lane closures and a detour of less than a mile for Route 62 (Shenango Valley Freeway) westbound traffic. The detour will use State Street and Route 18.

Plans for the project will be on display:

Date:              June 5 through June 29, 2018
Time:              Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Location:       City of Hermitage Building
800 North Hermitage Road
Hermitage, PA 16148

The display of plans is to introduce the project to the public and seek input. Please contact Chris Boyer-Krantz, PennDOT Project Manager, at (814) 678-7379 with any questions or concerns.

The plans display is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project’s potential effect upon Cultural Resources pursuant to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

The display is being held in a facility that complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.
