The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to a public meeting regarding the replacement of the Miles Run Road Bridge in Pittsfield Township, Warren County.
The bridge is located on Miles Run Road (Township Road 388) over Miles Run in Pittsfield Township, just west of Route 6.
The existing steel I-beam bridge will be replaced with a single span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge on reinforced concrete integral abutments. Work is expected to take place during the 2021 construction season.
The public meeting will be held:
Date: Tuesday, November 19, 2019
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: Pittsfield Township Building
488 Dalrymple Road
Pittsfield, PA 16340
Construction will require a detour, which will be posted using Route 6, Danielson Road, and Laugher Hill Road.
The existing bridge was built in 1960. It is classified as poor condition and is posted with a 11-tom weight limit. Approximately 100 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average. The bridge is owned and maintained by Pittsfield Township.
