Hopewell Bridge Replacement
This project involves the replacement of the existing bridge carrying Route 915 over the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. As part of this project, Route 26 will be realigned, requiring approximately 463 feet of retaining walls and excavation of the 700-foot River Mountain rock slope along Route 26. Anchored wire mesh will be installed to stabilize rock slope above the excavated area to improve traffic safety deficiencies. The project involves other miscellaneous construction, as well.
This multi-year project in Bedford County is being completed by HRI, Inc. of State College. The project was completed in July 2020.
