Paint the Plow

PtheP_NB.png

The Paint the Plow Program is a way for PennDOT and the local community to cultivate public awareness and promote winter driving safety on state roadways.

High school students are invited to paint creative, original artwork onto a PennDOT snowplow blade based on the statewide theme "Don't Rush in Ice and Slush." The theme was chosen to draw attention to the need for motorists to give themselves ample time for travel during wintry weather in order to arrive safely to their destination. The decorative blades reflecting each individual school will have the opportunity to be visible during winter as snow trucks work to keep the roads safe and clear on various roadways in the region during the winter months.

Regions

The Paint the Plow program is divided by county and organized by region. To find specified information for your area visit your region's page.

Voting

In the coming months you will also be able to vote for your favorite design. Region specific voting sites will be set up to allow community members to choose which plow they think is the best.
