Somerset Non-Composite Bridges

Project Overview

The project includes 12 local bridges in Somerset County.

The project will involve replacing the existing asphalt pavement on the bridges with a new concrete deck, minor approach roadway paving will tie into the new bridge deck. Guiderail and signing will also be updated.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2022 and will end in the Fall of 2023. Each bridge will be detoured for approximately 6-8 weeks.

Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in the project area should view the virtual plans presentation and submit comments or contact the Project Manager.

The current estimated construction cost is $5-$6 million.
