Here is an update on the speed restrictions implemented on major roads in the PennDOT District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties. A speed restriction is now in place on Interstate 78 in Lebanon County.

Due to the severity of the winter storm, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on major roadways throughout the south-central District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

An additional session has been added to the open house for the project to rehabilitate the Route 3012 Market Street Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between the City of Harrisburg in Dauphin County, and Front Street in Wormleysburg in Cumberland County.

Due to icy road conditions, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed on Route 22/322 in south central Pennsylvania. The speed limit on Route 22/322 has been reduced to 45 mph from Interstate 81 in Dauphin County, through Perry County to the Juniata County line.

In response to the winter storm forecasted for the eight-county south-central Pennsylvania region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has implemented a vehicle restriction on Interstate 83. A vehicle restriction on Interstate 78 is planned for later tonight.

A lane restriction will be in place Thursday, January 6, on northbound Interstate 81 so a contractor can remove a section of temporary barrier at the I-81 sound wall project in Dauphin County.

PennDOT announced today that updates have been added to the web site for the project to rehabilitate the Route 3012 Market Street Bridge, which spans the Susquehanna River between the City of Harrisburg in Dauphin County, and Front Street in Wormleysburg in Cumberland County.
