Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) between Interstate 476 and Route 252 (Providence Road) in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County, on Sunday, January 31, through Thursday, February 4, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge deck and expansion joint repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.
In addition, one lane will be closed on I-95 south between U.S. 1 and Business U.S. 1 in Middletown Township, Bucks County, on Tuesday, February 2, through Friday, February 12, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge deck and expansion joint repairs.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) and I-95 during the nighttime operations.
Eastern Highway Specialists, Inc. of Wilmington, Del. is the general contractor that will perform the work, which is part of a $1.4 million contract to repair bridge decks and seal joints to preserve and maintain structures in the Philadelphia region.
