Route 63 Bridges
PennDOT contractors are replacing three bridges in poor condition on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) that span the Unami Creek, Ridge Valley Creek and the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek in Upper Salford and Marlborough townships, Montgomery County.
Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) was reopened to two-way traffic between Long Mill Road and Shady Lane in December 2020, following successful replacement of the bridge over East Branch Perkiomen Creek. The structure is the third and final bridge to be replaced under this project. The other Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) bridges over Unami Creek and Ridge Valley Creek were reopened in December 2019 after being closed and detoured since late May 2019.
