PennDOT is rehabilitating the bridge carrying Grays Ferry Avenue over the Schuylkill River, Amtrak/SEPTA and CSX railway tracks in Philadelphia. The entire project is expected to finish in late 2020.
Construction on this project began in December 2018. Read the latest press release.
Westbound Grays Ferry Avenue is closed between Grove Street and Paschall Avenue through 2019. One lane of traffic is still being maintained in both directions at all times using the eastbound side of Grays Ferry Avenue.
The second stage of construction will begin late next year and will reverse the pattern and close the eastbound side of Grays Ferry Avenue while two lanes of traffic are carried on the westbound side.
