Resurface approximately 10 miles of Interstate 80 westbound in Tobyhanna and Tunkhannock townships, Monroe County.
The project is made possible by Resurface PA, the Wolf Administration's new statewide initiative to accelerate repaving work on interstates and attack potholes across Pennsylvania.
The project includes milling, patching, and paving of I-80 west between Exit 293 (Interstate 380) and Exit 284 (PA 115). This section of I-80 west has an average daily traffic volume of 12,200 vehicles
Under this improvement project, the contractor will mill off the existing roadway surface and repave the state highway with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadway and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface. The project also includes bituminous patching.
