Project Overview

Work on this project includes milling, base repair, paving, installing rumble strips, Americans with Disabilities compliant curb ramps, and pavement markings on Brookside Road between US 222 and Buckeye Road in Lower Macungie Township.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, PA is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to be complete in September.

Detour Information

​Beginning this week, motorists should expect to see nighttime lane restrictions with flagging between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

In addition, beginning on August 12 and lasting until August 23, Brookside Road will be closed and detoured between Indian Creek Road and Lehigh Street to facilitate a full-depth roadway reconstruction underneath the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge. The detour utilizes Buckeye Road, Main Street, Willow Lane, and Sauerkraut Lane.

Updates will be provided whenever traffic pattern schedules change.
