The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Dunmore Driver License Center, 81 Keystone Industrial Park, Dunmore, will change its hours of operation for driver licensing and photo services effective February 19, 2019.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and PA Turnpike are advising motorists to closely monitor weather forecasts and conditions as a storm brings mixed precipitation types to much of the state, with many areas expected to see precipitation during the Monday evening and Tuesday morning rush hours.

Based on weather forecasts indicating the potential for snow squalls today, PennDOT advises motorists to be alert to them. Snow squalls can quickly cause roads to become snow-covered and slick. In addition, heavy squalls can also cause whiteout conditions, virtually eliminating a driver’s visibility.

Due to the severity of the winter storm, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on several roadways in the region.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists to closely monitor weather forecasts and conditions as a storm system is anticipated to impact most of the state, with many areas expected to see precipitation during the Tuesday rush hours. The storm is forecast to be followed by a brutal cold front that could bring icy conditions and sudden snow squalls.

With an intense winter storm expected to bring heavy snow, high winds, sleet and freezing rain across the state through this weekend, Governor Tom Wolf today signed a state of emergency declaration to allow for increased assistance with storm-related needs. The commonwealth also will impose speed restrictions and a ban on all commercial traffic, including buses on most interstates and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. State officials urge motorists to use caution during the storm, postpone travel if possible,
