The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has completed construction of a new box culvert on Blackburn Road (Route 2009) in Bigler Township, Clearfield County. The box culvert replaces a small bridge over Alexander Run in the village of Madera.

​A Route 45 (Penns Valley Road) bridge, which spans Pine Creek in Haines Township, Centre County, reopened to traffic today. This bridge was replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacing the bridge removes it from the list of bridges in “poor” condition.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists to the installation of a long-term temporary signal on Route 26 at the westbound off ramp of Interstate 80 at the Bellefonte/161 exit.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is issuing an update on the Route 322/Potters Mills Gap project as work continues. Through August 17, drivers can expect the following: • The westbound detour using Route 144 north and Route 45 west will be lifted by the end of the day today.

As work to improve more than 41 miles of roadway in Centre and Clinton counties continues, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is issuing an update on its project schedule. Overall work includes milling, base repair, resurfacing, curbing, sidewalks, and guide rail updates on sections of seven routes in Centre County and five in Clinton County.

Motorists traveling through Howard and Snow Shoe Boroughs in Centre County will be reminded to obey the posted speed limit as The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the placement of two radar-controlled speed display signs. The first was placed on Route 26 (Howard Narrows Road) north of Park Road in Howard Borough and the second on Route 144 (Sycamore Street) north of Third Street in Snow Shoe Borough.

​Construction for a Route 46 (Emporium Road) bridge in McKean County, is scheduled to begin soon as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge spans Havens Run in Norwich Township, about three miles southeast of the village of Betula. Replacement of this bridge will remove it from the list of “poor” bridges in McKean County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) issued an update today on an improvement project on I-99 in Centre County. The work zone encompasses a three-mile section of I-99 in College and Patton townships between the Atherton Street exit and the bridges spanning the Bellefonte Trail near the Waddle Road interchange. The goal of the project is to improve ride quality and extend the useful life of the roadway.

Motorists traveling through Milford Township, Juniata County, will be reminded to obey the posted speed limit as The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the placement of a radar-controlled speed display sign on Route 4002 (Licking Creek Drive), east of Route 4003 (Stetler Road). The sign is to aid in curbing speeding, a common type of aggressive driving.
