With 2019 work winding down, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is issuing an early December update for its North Atherton Street (Route 3014) project in State College.

Effective Monday, December 9, PennDOT will remove the weight restriction on Route 321 starting at the intersection of Route 59 in Corydon Township and traveling north about 6.7 miles to the Allegheny Reservoir. This section of Route 321 is commonly known as Sugar Road.

Starting tomorrow, a Yankee Dryer super load will be transported from the Port of Erie to First Quality Tissue in the city of Lock Haven—a distance of more than 300 miles. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting regional drivers that this super load will impact traffic along numerous routes from Erie County to Clinton County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is issuing an update on its cable median barrier installation project along more than 13 miles of roadway in Centre, Clinton, Mifflin, and Juniata counties. The project will enhance safety for motorists and reduce the potential for head-on collisions on high-volume traffic routes.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Pennsylvania State Police, and officers from Bradford City, Bradford Township and Foster Township Police Departments announced their participation in day and night seat belt enforcement activities as part of the “Click It or Ticket” Thanksgiving Enforcement Mobilization running from November 25 through December 8, 2019.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that I-80 eastbound between the 97/DuBois-Brockway exit and the 111/Clearfield-Penfield exit is now open to traffic. The eastbound lanes had been closed due to a crash that occurred early this morning.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that I-80 westbound is closed between the 97/DuBois-Brockway exit and the 111/Clearfield-Penfield exit due to a motor vehicle accident. The closure is expected to be in place for several hours.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that work to improve the ride quality and extend the useful life of the surface on nearly 15 miles of roadway in Juniata and Mifflin counties is expected to wrap up the week of November 11.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Pennsylvania State Police and Ferguson Township, Patton Township, Spring Township and State College Police Departments held a media event today highlighting their efforts during the first wave of high visibility aggressive driving enforcement for fiscal year 2020. The wave runs through November 17 and is part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Program (PA ADEEP), which is funded by PennDOT and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with the goal of reducing the number of aggressive driving related crashes, injuries and fatalities in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that slide repair work on a section of Route 144 (Branch Road) between the Galeton Borough line and Germania in Potter County is complete. The road is now open to traffic and the detour that had been in effect since Monday, November 4, has been lifted.
