Uniontown – PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of the westbound ramp closure on Interstate 70 at the Hunker Interchange in New Stanton Borough, Westmoreland County. Work begins on Monday, April 4.
The closure will be in place to allow crews to continue construction on the new westbound ON ramp and the Interstate 70 temporary bi-pass lanes. The Hunker eastbound ON ramp will remain open but will close at a later date. Four lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times on Interstate 70 during daylight hours. Single lane closures will be allowed as necessary between 8 p. and 6 am.
A posted detour will be in place routing Hunker traffic on/off Interstate 70 via North Center Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.
