PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of a single lane restriction on Route 3012 (Leckrone Highhouse Road) between Yarus Farm Road and Treatment Plant Road in German Township, Fayette County. The restriction is in place due to a slide and will remain in place until further notice.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of a single lane restriction on Route 4014 (Waltersburg Road) between Pleasant View Smock Road and Upper Peanut Road in Menallen Township, Fayette County. The restriction is in place due to a slide and will remain in place until further notice.

Washington County Maintenance Manager, Adam Smith, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of February 11, 2019. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and PennDOT want to alert motorists that a section of Noblestown Road (State Road 4037) in Robinson Township, Washington County will be closed to traffic between the Robinson Township Municipal Building and Cooks Road for approximately 30 days beginning Feb. 11. This scheduled start date is dependent on weather.

PennDOT District 12 is informing all motorists traveling along Interstate 70 between the west Virginia border and Exit 1 (West Alexander) of temporary traffic stoppages on both the east and west bound sides of the interstate. The traffic interruptions are in place to allow crews to mill down ripples in the roadway due to longwall mining operations currently being conducted under the interstate.

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that they will encounter traffic pattern changes as the US 119 New Stanton Lighting / Ramps project gets started. Work will begin on February 11 and complete in April 2020 – Mondays through Fridays 7AM to 5PM.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will conduct a plan display to inform the public of the proposed project for replacing the bridge on Route 2027 (Maple Drive) that spans Interstate 70 (I-70) in Speers Borough, Washington County.

The Castile Run Road (Route 1011), which spans South Fork Tenmile Creek in Jefferson Township and the Borough of Clarksville, Greene County, reopened to traffic on Saturday, January 19. This bridge was replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Traffic patterns will be changing on a section of east and westbound Interstate 70 in Donegal Township, Washington County due to Long Wall Mining that will be occurring under a section of the interstate. In order to mitigate the potential impacts from the Long Wall Mining, traffic will be restricted to the left lane and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 MPH. These temporary restrictions will be in place in both directions between the West Virginia State Line and Exit 1 (West Alexander) starting the week of January 14.
