The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to a plans display regarding the superstructure replacement of the Orangeville Road (Route 3019) bridge over Towel Works Run in the City of Hermitage, Mercer County.

The bridge is located on Orangeville Road, approximately one mile from the intersection with Route 718.

The project will include work on the superstructure replacement and minimal roadway approach work.

Work is expected to occur in the 2020 construction season.

A plans display on the project can be viewed 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays, November 7 to December 13, 2019 at the City of Hermitage, 800 North Hermitage Road, Hermitage, PA 16148. The plans display will not be available November 28 and 29 for holiday.

A detour will be required during construction. The 2.6-mile-long detour route proposed would use Route 0718, Orangeville Road and Buckeye Drive.

The existing bridge was built in 1957 and approximately 329 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.
