Paint the Plow

PennDOT invites the public to participate in the 2019 Paint the Plow competition by voting on their favorite plow in the following link:

Vote Now for Venango County

Participating schools are asked to produce artwork for a PennDOT plow, that will be used to maintain state-owned roadways in their respective county. The Paint the Plow program is a wonderful way for PennDOT and local communities to encourage and bring public awareness to safe driving on our roadways.

Participating high school students will be tasked with designing and creating original artwork on a snow plow using the year’s designated theme:

Each plow will be judged on creativity and ability to incorporate the designated safety message/theme. The “Judges’ Pick” winner will be selected by a panel of PennDOT representatives and/or local community members from their respective region.

Additionally, during a designated voting period, the public will have the opportunity to select a “Fan Favorite” winner by going online to vote for the painted plow they like the most. A photo of each painted plow will be displayed online and the plow that receives the most votes will be determined as the winner.

Please review the attached information packet for further details. All applications should be submitted by no later than June 17, 2019. Late applications will be accepted based on availability.
