Peach Street Improvement Project

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site, and relevant training. Project Overview

The project will improve pedestrian access on Peach Street from Kuntz Road to Mall Access Drive and on Kuntz Road from Peach Street to Jodie Lane in Millcreek Township.

Construction will include new and upgrades sidewalks, curb ramps, and drainage on the southern side of Kuntz Road from Peach Street to Jodie Lane. Sidewalks, curb ramp, railing improvements, and bridge rehabilitation work will be made along the east side of Peach Street from Kuntz Road to Mall Access Drive.

Work will also include signal timing upgrades at the intersection of Peach Street and Kuntz Road, and two entrances to the Millcreek Mall.

Construction is expected to begin May 6, 2020, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by October 2020.

During the project, there will be a detour for eastbound traffic on Kuntz Road, which will be routed to Route 19 and Washington Avenue. Motorists will also encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers. Drivers should be alert for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions.
