eSignature Registration

Registration Requirements Summary

If you wish to use a digital signature to electronically sign documents for working with PennDOT Bureau of Project Delivery, you must register using the eSignature process. For assistance, the IT Service Desk is available 24/7 at 717-783-8330 or toll-free at 855-783-8330. (Please reference "ECMS eSignature" if you call.)

Registration Instructions

  1. Follow the instructions in Creating and Exporting Adobe Signature Certificate (PDF) to create your digital signature and export the certificate (.fdf file).
  2. If desired, follow the instructions in Create an Appearance for a Digital Signature in Adobe (PDF) to create an appearance that will mimic your handwritten signature when digitally signing files (This process is optional).
  3. Email the exported .fdf file from Step 1 to eConstruct@pa.gov. A pre-addressed email template (.oft) is available to use, just attach the .fdf file to the email and send it to the resource account in the template.
  4. You will be notified via email when your registration is processed.
