Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing single-lane restrictions on Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday, October 7 weather permitting.
Single-lane restrictions will occur on Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Crews from Gulisek Construction will perform concrete median and inlet repairs, overhead sign installation and pavement marking placements. Lane restrictions will occur on Route 51 according to the following schedule:
- Northbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) left lane restriction between Warrington Avenue and Crane Avenue
- Southbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) left lane restriction between Crane Avenue and Warrington Avenue
- Southbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) right lane restriction on the off-ramp to West Liberty Avenue
- Northbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) alternating lane restriction on the off-ramp to West Liberty Avenue and the Liberty Tunnel
At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times in the various work areas above. Oversize loads will be able to be accommodated through the work zone as needed.
Motorists should expect delays. Please use caution and allow extra time when driving through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
