Beginning July 5, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be working to replace a bridge on Nicholson Road (Route 3032) in Pike Township, Clearfield County. The bridge spans Hartshorn Run, about 2 miles north of Curwensville. Replacement work will require closing the bridge and a detour will be in effect for the duration of the project, July 5 through September 1.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will begin work soon to replace a Route 53 bridge in Bigler Township, Clearfield County. Replacing the bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Clearfield County’s structurally deficient list.

On June 15, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) began replacement work for a box culvert on Eleven Mile Road (Route 4023) in Oswayo Township, Potter County. PennDOT closed the road and removed the culvert but wet, rainy weather has since hampered progress on the project.

Beginning July 5, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be working to replace a box culvert in Taylor Township, Centre County. The bridge spans Bell Hollow, about two miles north of the village of Newton Hamilton on Fowler Road (Route 3025). The current box culvert dates from 1927 and carries an average of 60 vehicles daily. Replacement work will require closing the bridge, with a detour in effect. Replacement will allow PennDOT to remove the bridge from Centre County’s structurally deficient list.

Late June will bring a traffic change on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Route 6 project in Coudersport. Begun in 2016, this two-year project will result in an improved roadway surface through downtown Coudersport as well as sidewalk improvements and bridge repairs

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has begun road improvement work on Route 255 in Sandy and Huston Township, Clearfield County. The 4-mile work zone stretches from the Sandy Lick Creek near the village of Sabula toward Penfield and the intersection with Route 153. The project will improve drainage, as well as roadway and structure integrity, and enhance safety along this travel route.

Today, the Wolf Administration announced that a new public-private partnership will rehabilitate 9.2 miles of weight restricted roadway in Potter County and include drainage improvements and full-depth reclamation of Route 1001 (Brookland Road/South Main Street/Fox Hill Road) and Route 4013 (North Hollow Road).

A Clarence Road (Route 4002) bridge in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, reopened to traffic today. The bridge spans Little Sandy Run near the village of Clarence and was replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement allows PennDOT to remove it from the state's structurally deficient bridge list.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that pipe replacement work that was set for this week in Pike Township, Potter County has been delayed by wet weather.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) continues to make progress on a bridge project along South Atherton Street. The bridge spans Slab Cabin Run on South Atherton Street (Route 3014), near CVS Pharmacy. Preservation work will remove the bridge from Centre County’s structurally deficient list and keep it in useful service for years to come.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is continuing work to replace a box culvert on Route 22 in Oliver Township, Mifflin County. The box culvert spans Musser Run, about two miles southwest of Mcveytown. Replacement will allow PennDOT to remove the bridge from Mifflin County’s structurally deficient list.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will begin roadway improvement work next week in Clinton County, focusing on Route 64 and Route 477. This work is part of a group contract to improve more than 38 miles of roadway in Centre, Clinton, Clearfield, Mifflin and Juniata counties.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area motorists that lane restrictions will be in place on Route 879 in Shawville most of next week as completion work on the Trout Run Bridge takes place. The bridge is located on Route 879 just north of the Shawville Post Office.
