Paint the Plow
With winter just around the corner, District 12 is getting help from schools in Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties in the creative outreach project to promote winter safety called "Paint the Plow."
Schools are asked to paint the plows with a winter safety theme, weather motif, or even school mascots. These plow blades will run in the areas of the respective school districts.
A panel of judges will select a "Best in Show" for each county, and PennDOT Facebook fans vote for their "fan favorites" on the PennDOT Facebook page. Voting began Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will end at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17.
